Federal Skilled Worker Application has been re-opened in May 2014. Applicants must obtain a total of 67 points out of 100 in order to be eligible. The selection factors are: Education, Language, Employment experience, Age, Arranged employment and Adaptability.
There is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications includes 500 applications from PhD Students, and there are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. If you hold a valid job offer (LMO), you can apply for the application as Federal Skilled Worker immediately and will not be affected by the occupation and quota limitation.
